How Do I Adjust My Audio Settings on Zoom? People Can’t Hear Me!

Troubleshooting Zoom Audio: People Can't Hear Me

If you're experiencing audio problems on Zoom where others cannot hear you, please follow these troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue.

  • Use Earbuds or a Headset. We highly recommend using earbuds or a headset during all Zoom sessions. This will significantly improve audio capture and minimize background noise that might interfere with your microphone, allowing you to be heard clearly.

  • Check Your Audio Settings.

    • Access your audio settings in Zoom by clicking on the carat icon or the up arrow located next to the microphone icon.

    • In the Microphone section, verify that the Input Level is set to a sufficient "Input Volume." We recommend 70-80%, dragging the slider to the right to increase the input volume.

    • You can then adjust the input volume as necessary once speaking to ensure your microphone clearly picks up your voice.

We hope that resolves it for you. If you’ve tried these steps and you are still having trouble, feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
